Spawns

The
Seatac Hilton was a
mixed blessing for convention
goers. They were incredibly accommodating
to the convention, but the layout
did make it difficult for Cascadia
Con to become one cohesive event.
|
| The
CNW Wing was a narrow
avenue alongside one of the convention
ballrooms. Comics Biography Theatre
is seen here in the forefront,
followed by artist tables and
Spawns of Insomnia. |
 |
 |
John
Brower manned the CNW
booth, signed on new
members, sold books and kept the
raffle ongoing. John graciously
volunteered throughout the entire
convention. |

Dan
McConnell was a participant
in Spawns of Insomnia 2003. He
came all the way from Cashmere
to take part in this year's event,
and he's seen here drawing for
Comics Biography Theatre. |
| Georgia
Ball begins her Spawns
entry, an autobiographical college
story. The first Scooter
and Ferret book went on sale
at this convention. |
 |
 |
Scott
Ball, one of the event's
key organizers, takes a day out
from supervising other events
to have his turn at Spawns. He
filled his 24-hour "Communist
Pea" story with puns and
other vegetable humor. |
| Last
Kiss creator John
Lustig operates his booth
when not keeping the event running
smoothly. Just as he did in 2003,
John put tons of hours into making
sure this year's event was an
outstanding success. |

 |
 |

McMahon completed her
Spawns story and spent the rest
of the five day event selling
her comic book, Bad
Blood. |
| Albedo
creator Steve Gallacci
not only finished his
Spawns story but inked most of
it as well. He even had time to
take a nap under his desk. |
